Easel Card

Easel Card

I was shying away from making the so called the "Easel" card, only because I thought it had alot of measuring, cutting and scoring. This card is so simple and fun to make. All you need is a half sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 CS. Fold it if you were going to make a regular card then take the bottom half and fold it up to the top fold and take the other half of your CS that you cut and cut that piece in half and that is your panel for your design. I love this card as I do alot of photography work as well and this card would make a great display stand for photos. Until next my next post.....TFL

Dresser Card & Tutorial

Here is a dresser card I designed, I found the link to the tutorial from a friend, which in turn she found the tutorial link from one of her Stampin Up customer.  It is a pretty unique and SIMPLE card to make. It took longer to design the card than to actually cut and score it to size.  It is very simple.  Of course there are alot of paper dresser designs out there, although I particularly like this design because it is in the form of a card.  Here is the link to the tutorial. Dresser Card Link to Tutorial - Jackie Topa  I have posted the card I designed to give you a visual.  Enjoy!

Snow is Overrated!

I had to design one more "Winter / Snow" card,  although  I never see snow anymore, I love using stickles and glitter to resemble snow.  I thought the green was a bit of a different twist. The snowman was colored and blended with Prismacolor pencils and oms. The background paper was ran through the sizzix machine with a snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder. I used the two MS snowflake punch and then used gems and antique brads. The snow is created using stickles frost. The image is from Whipper Snapper.  Happy Winter and TFL.

Life's Simple Pleasures!

Today I found sometime to sit and post to my blog, I made these 2 cards last week.  They were both created using Prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, oms and various embellishments. The pigs are from Whipper Snapper Designs and the Cowgirl is from the Elizabeth Bell Collection. Until the next posting, TFL.

It's a Beautiful Day in Sunny Florida!

It is beautiful today in Florida, it's been record temperature cold here lately, so when it is cold what else can you do but stamp...LOL. :)  I posted a few cards I have designed in the last week,  a couple are winter weather cards; still in cold weather mode...LOL, and a couple are just for fun cards. These are my first cards for 2011.

All of the cards were from digi stamps except the horse swimming that was from actual red rubber. All cards were colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS with various embellishments. I have been crazy into glitter this year as well as decorative paper, so all of the cards except the pooch card has glitter on them and all use decorative paper.  The stamp companies vary from Angel's Landing, Mo's Digital Pencil, Whimsy and QKR Stampede.

I also have been big into the Digital Stamps this year as well, I believe both style of stamps have their pros and cons. I can't say I like one style better than the other. I like them equally the same. TFL
